West Orange Rotary Annual Taste of the World

The Rotary Club of West Orange presents TASTE OF THE WORLD at Mayfair Farms, West Orange, on April 28 2008 6:30 - 9:30 p.m.  Tickets $35 in advance, $40 at the door.  KOSHER AND NON-KOSHER CUISINE.  Sample the Finest Restaurants all in one place! Wine and Beverage Tasting.  Chinese  -  Japanese  -  Middle Eastern   -  Mexican  -   Italian   -  Nuevo Cuisine   -  Raffle  -  Prizes  -  Live Entertainment  - And so much more!  All proceeds will be used to fund rotary supported charities and civic needs both local and international. (West Orange scholarships/disaster relief / heart surgery for children / Easter Seals camp and more!)

Arbor Day / Memorial for Abe Lando

 

Please join Mayor John F. McKeon and the Township of West Orange Wednesday, May 7, 2008, 9:00 am, as we dedicate a Japanese Flowering Dogwood Tree in Loving Memory of Abe Lando (1913-2008), Deputy Mayor and Township Historian of West Orange.  Located on the south lawn of  The West Orange Municipal Building (between the Municipal Building and the Police and Justice Building).

 

Become a Certified Babysitter! 

The West Orange Fire Department is offering a free Babysitter’s Program on Saturday, May 17, 2008 at 1:00 p.m.  This one-time class will be held at Liberty Middle School, 1 Kelly Drive, West Orange, and is available to young adults ages 12-16 who attend West Orange Public or Private Schools.  Proof of age and residency required.  Students may be accompanied by a parent if desired.  Parents, however, may not participate in the class.  Class size is limited to 50 participants. 

The class is approximately 4 hours in duration and will teach young adults the basics of safe child care, CPR and what to do in case of emergency.   To register, please contact Ms. Perry at (973) 325-4175.
