What is the Chamber of Commerce ?

It is a voluntary organization that unites the forces of the community for the planned development and improvement of the business community. 

It is many people pooling their ideas, talents, and resources - investing time and effort - to promote the economic health and welfare of the community.

 Membership is open to any firm or individual who lives, works, or does business in West Orange. Everyone is urged to join and participate. Working together the Chamber can accomplish what no one person can do alone.

How is it financed?

Financial support comes from the business, professional, investor, and residential members of the community. The Chamber receives no tax support. 

The membership is a voting membership for retail, corporate, and professional members.

What are its goals?

•     to promote West Orange's residential and commercial assets.

•     to make the community a more beautiful place to live, work, and shop. 

•     to attract new business and commerce to West Orange. 

•     to stimulate the business climate for existing enterprises.

•     to coordinate the retails efforts of the several commercial areas. 

•     to expand the Chamber's membership and support in order to accomplish the goals.

When does it meet ?

Meetings of the Board of Directors are held every month. Special events and social gatherings are also scheduled throughout the year.
