West Orange daycare and pre-school, The Kids Palace II will be hosting a special Financial Wellness Seminar for local parents on Thursday, May 30 from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m.  This event will include a session for parent socializing followed by the program. Light refreshments will be served.

Husband and wife owners, Shamar and Joy Moton’s goal is to not only provide excellent childcare, but create a holistic environment for families to get additional resources that will enhance parents’ child-rearing years.

“We have recently paired up with a team of local financial coaches who will help parents learn about financial concepts that impact nearly every person raising a child,” said Joy. “Budgeting, getting out of debt, life insurance, college and retirement planning can all be overwhelming without the proper education and action plan. We intend to help get families a head start in these areas during our free event.”

Topics to be covered during the seminar include learning about basic financial principals; how to calculate your family's financial independence number for retirement; how to get out of debt sooner without consolidating loans or going bankrupt; how to afford college tuition; how to get an affordable will; how to navigate different types of life insurance and more.

The newly renovated Kids Palace II Daycare & Preschool is a facility for children age two and up. Staff is composed of all trained professionals in the early childhood field, as well as trained in CPR & First Aid.
